ML Strategies Weekly Preview - December 17, 2018
This week, Congress is in session for what should be the last week of the 115th Congress. However, the spending fight that has been raging since the last continuing resolution is no closer to being wrapped up than it was a month ago. Additionally, we watch to see if the IMPROVE Act can be finalized this week.
However, the big news of the weekend centered on Texas v. Azar with the court ruling that the Affordable Care Act (ACA) is unconstitutional. While the case has ramifications for policymakers and stakeholders, we're a long way from immediate changes. But the consequences of the ruling will have significant effects on policy discussions for 2019.
