Managing Member Bob Bodian was interviewed by Law360 on how the firm is preparing for a potential economic downturn and the potential impact this could have on recruiting and hiring decisions. Bob said, "I have found that in recruiting, [our approach to origination credit] has been a big attraction to partners who want to be collaborative and want less of an eat-what-you-kill atmosphere...That also carries into how we do compensation...It's much less bonus oriented, and much more oriented towards setting it for the next year based on performance...Partners are attracted to that, at least the kind of partners that we want here, who are collaborative...If partners look at a 10-year track and how much money they made relative to contributions, there are no complaints".
