Mintz Named Most Admired Law Firm by Los Angeles Business Journal For Fourth Time

LOS ANGELES - Mintz is pleased to be included in the “Most Admired Law Firms” list by the Los Angeles Business Journal for a fourth year in a row. The 2022 special report, published on September 19, identified the best law firms to work for in Los Angeles, including Mintz, and specifically those who are consciously working towards creating diverse, positive, and supportive environments to help drive the success of their attorneys.

Los Angeles Business Journal highlighted Mintz’s numerous diversity initiatives and successes. It noted that Mintz is consistently named one of the “Best Places to Work for LGBTQ Equality” by the Human Rights Campaign, this is the 15th consecutive year Mintz achieved a perfect score on the 2022 Corporate Equality Index, the firm has a strong pro bono program dedicated to public service, Mintz was named a recipient of the National Legal Aid and Defender Association’s 2022 Beacon of Justice Award, and that Mintz is an active and awarded supporter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

On a regional level, Mintz’s Los Angeles office leads a number of the firm’s diversity and inclusion-focused events and initiatives that benefit the community. For example, Mintz Los Angeles has for several years hosted a unique “Lawyer for a Day” event, which brings in middle school students from a local Title One school to learn about the legal system and profession from firm attorneys and in-house counsel of color. While unable to host Lawyer for a Day in 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Mintz Members participated in a virtual career day event organized by the New Los Angeles Charter School. Additionally, the firm’s Los Angeles office has historically hosted a Women’s Event featuring insights from successful women in law for members of the local legal and business communities.

This is the fourth time Mintz has been honored with this award as it continues to dedicate significant effort to increasing inclusion and diversity at the firm and the wider legal community. In order to be named to Los Angeles Business Journal’s "Most Admired Law Firms list", eligible firms are chosen based on a demonstration of impact made on the profession and Los Angeles community, as well as programs and initiatives that benefit staff. Notably, Mintz was also recognized in the inaugural edition of Most Admired Law Firms in 2020, and as “Organization of the Year” by Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2021 "Diversity, Inclusion, and Equity Awards". The Organization of the Year Award distinguished Mintz as a leading organization paving the way for the future of diversity and inclusion in the region and beyond.
