ITC Practice Co-chair Robert Vlasis shared insights with Managing IP in an article about the surge in ITC filings and the market’s increased reliance on the ITC for patent disputes. The article shares how the ITC’s growing impact is reshaping both patent litigation strategy and deal due diligence. 

In the article, Robert says that IP practitioners should consider the ITC when helping clients structure an acquisition deal: “IP exposure is almost always a key component of deal due diligence. Although the risk of an ITC action may not always be flagged, it certainly should be considered if the target company has imported products in a space with crowded IP.”
