Mintz Member Stephen Akerley was a featured speaker at the second annual Litigation Finance Dealmakers Forum, held in Manhattan from September 18-19.
An article published by the Boston Globe profiled Mintz Member and Founding Chair of the firm’s Immigration Practice Susan Cohen, highlighting her contributions to federal immigration law and her art that shares refugee stories. As founder of White Dove Productions, Ms. Cohen uses music and music videos to illuminate the plights of immigrants and their vast contributions within the United States.
Law360 highlighted the arrival of trademark attorney Karen Won as a Member in Mintz’s Intellectual Property and Life Sciences Practices based in New York. In the article, Ms. Won remarked on her background as an attorney, the focus of her practice, and her move to Mintz. "What really drew me to Mintz was the strength of their life sciences platform, which is amazingly broad and deep, including a very strong regulatory practice here," she said.
An article published by Law360 reported that following the U.S. International Trade Commission’s initial decision that Jennewein Biotechnologie GmbH’s imports infringe a Glycosyn LLC patent on human milk oligosaccharides, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board denied Jennewein’s petition for post-grant review of a related patent.
