Danya Elbendary focuses her practice on complex civil litigation, including business and commercial disputes, class actions, antitrust matters, and regulatory issues. She has experience guiding matters through all stages of litigation in state and federal court, including drafting and arguing dispositive motions, managing discovery, preparing mediation submissions, and appearing at hearings.
Danya regularly drafts pleadings, motions, and briefs, collaborates with expert witnesses, and assists with trial preparation. She has been selected to interface directly with clients throughout the litigation process and is recognized for her legal writing and analytical skills, including successfully briefing motions to dismiss in fraud-based enforcement litigation.
Prior to joining Mintz, Danya was a litigation associate at Los Angeles–based firms, where she handled a wide range of civil actions across multiple industries. Her practice included complex commercial litigation, antitrust matters, white collar investigations, and bankruptcy-related disputes, as well as all aspects of case management from initial pleadings through resolution.
While earning her JD, Danya served as a graduate teaching assistant and graduate research assistant for Constitutional Law, supporting course instruction and legal scholarship. She earned her JD from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law and her BA, magna cum laude, from Tulane University.
