Jacob concentrates his practice on complex commercial disputes. He has a strong foundation in intellectual property and commercial litigation as well as trademark and copyright strategy to meet clients’ objectives and needs. Jacob has experience managing cases in both federal and state courts from pre-suit investigation through trial and appeal. 

He served as a law clerk to the Honorable Larry A. Burns of the US District Court for the Southern District of California, during which time he reviewed motions, drafted orders and bench memoranda, and prepared the judge for hearings and trials in civil actions across a range of areas of federal and state law.

Jacob earned his JD, cum laude, from the University of San Diego School of Law, where he was editor of the San Diego Law Review and was recognized for his work in legal writing and research. Prior to law school, he earned a BA in legal studies from the University of California, Berkeley.

Jacob is based in the San Diego office.
