Jason concentrates his practice on intellectual property litigation and patent counseling, with a focus on complex technologies in the life sciences and digital health sectors. He has experience handling a range of matters including patent litigations, inter partes review proceedings, and trade secret disputes. Additionally, Jason advises clients on patent portfolio management and drafts invalidity, infringement, and freedom-to-operate opinions for technologies spanning small-molecule drugs, biologics, and AI-driven gene sequencing.
Prior to working at Mintz, in associate roles in two large firms, Jason managed all phases of IP litigation and represented clients in high-stakes pharmaceutical patent disputes. He also served as a judicial extern for the Honorable James Donato of the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
Jason has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications in computational linguistics and biomedical research, including works on speech synthesis, natural language processing, and ophthalmic imaging. His research has been presented at conferences such as the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology, and international speech technology symposia.
