11th Annual Bio-Ball Basketball Tournament

About the Event

Mintz Levin is proud to sponsor the 11th Annual Bio-Ball Basketball Tournament. Bio-Ball is a one day basketball tournament involving 16 local biotech and pharma companies and 16 Special Olympics basketball teams. The event is sponsored by all of the providers that support the local biotech community with all of the proceeds going to benefit basketball programs and activities at Special Olympics Massachusetts. This year’s company participants include Agios, Alnylam, Ariad, Bind, Biogen, Bluebird, Infinity, Ironwood, Moderna, Momenta, Novartis, Shire, Sunovion, Syros and Visterra.

Bio-Ball strengthens the partnership between Special Olympics and the biotech companies as both work toward common goals of a providing healthier and more productive lives of those suffering from intellectual disabilities. The courage and perseverance of the biotechnology industry is demonstrated by the daily fight to discover and create innovations for a healthier future while Special Olympics athletes demonstrate a similar courage and perseverance as they strive daily to change perceptions of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
