Negotiating a second (or third) presidential contract presents an opportunity to reassess the prior or current agreement. What elements of the contract should be continued? Which ones need to be modified? Do new clauses need to be added? An experienced higher education attorney who has worked on more than 350 presidential contracts will discuss in a confidential setting desirable features of contract renewals. Topics to be addressed include deferred compensation, bonuses, outside income, presidential evaluations, sabbaticals, termination clauses, and post-presidency opportunities. Raymond D.
