This program will feature a panel discussion addressing the new Massachusetts law that enables survivors of human trafficking to vacate certain Massachusetts criminal convictions related to their trafficking. The panel discussion will focus on the impact of this new law, as well as practical tips for representing survivors in navigating this statutory procedure. Panelists will include human trafficking survivor and activist, Nikki Bell, as well as three Mintz attorneys with experience representing survivors on a pro bono basis under the new statute. This program will be informative for lawyers and non-lawyers who work with human trafficking survivors, as well as those whose work involves post-conviction relief.
