Claims in a Maturing Market

Mintz Member Nancy Adams will be moderating an upcoming panel titled, "Claims in a Maturing Market" at the 2022 PLUS Transactional Risk Symposium on Monday, February 28th, 2022. As the R&W insurance market has expanded and moved from its infancy to a slightly more mature market, the panel will explore how claims have evolved. In addition to discussing the common statistics (number of claims made, amount of loss paid, and percentage of policies on which claims have been made), panelists will explore whether the length of time from notice to payment has changed, whether the type of claims and claim submissions has changed, whether the scrutiny on claims has changed, and what lessons are being learned by underwriters, brokers, counsel and experts on what does and does not work in the claims process.
