BIO International Convention

Josh Fox will be moderating the panel titled "Targeting Success: 3 MIT Thought Leaders on Innovation" at the 2023 BIO International Convention. 

Which ideas and inventions are likely to serve as the foundation for the creation of successful businesses? Which are not? Why? This panel will examine these questions and the challenges associated with spinning-out innovations from academic and research institutions, including how to build a team to run a new company and how to fund start-ups, particularly those that may not attract traditional venture capital easily (or at all). This panel will also take a close look at the “funding gap” that exists for certain innovations and consider possible solutions to the challenges associated with raising capital to develop those technologies. Panelists are MIT Professors Robert Langer, Giovanni Traverso, and Angela Koehler.
