Mintz Attorney Ellen L. Janos Named Best Lawyers’ Boston Health Care Law “Lawyer of the Year”

Ellen L. Janos, a Member of the Health Law Practice of Mintz, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C. has been named the Best Lawyers’ 2014 Boston Health Care Law “Lawyer of the Year.”

Best Lawyers, which compiles annual listings of outstanding lawyers through a rigorous peer-review process, selects a single lawyer in each specialty in each community to honor as the “Lawyer of the Year.”  These lawyers have received particularly high ratings by earning a high level of respect among their peers for their abilities, professionalism, and integrity.

Ms. Janos specializes in providing regulatory and strategic advice to traditional health care providers such as hospitals, long-term care facilities and pharmacies as well as to companies that are providing or managing the delivery of health care in less traditional settings such as telemedicine companies, retail health clinics and urgent care centers.  She also represents pharmaceutical and device manufacturers and companies doing business with, and investing in, health care providers.

Ms. Janos’ practice focuses on government and third-party payor audits and investigations; corporate compliance activities, and hospital/physician relationships.  Ms. Janos is helping to coordinate the firm’s cross sectional Health IT practice group whose members advise clients on internet based health initiatives, IT vendor contracting, implementation of electronic health record initiatives and HIPAA privacy and security matters.
