Mintz Attorney Jeffrey R. Porter Elected to American College of Environmental Lawyers

Jeffrey R. Porter, Chair of the Environmental Law Practice of Mintz, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C., is one of sixteen lawyers elected a Fellow of the American College of Environmental Lawyers this year.

Membership in this very selective organization is by invitation only and is limited only to the most preeminent public and private sector environmental lawyers.
 
Mr. Porter will be inducted at the annual meeting of the American College of Environmental Lawyers on October 27-29 at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in New Orleans, LA. 

Mr. Porter has previously been recognized as one of the nation’s best environmental lawyers by Best Lawyers in America, Chambers USA, the Guide to the World’s Leading Environmental Lawyers, and several other publications. In addition to his legal practice, he serves as a Trustee of the Massachusetts Environmental Trust, a position to which he was appointed by the Massachusetts Energy and Environmental Affairs Secretary, and on several Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection advisory panels, including the Bureau of Waste Site Clean Up Advisory Committee. Mr. Porter was a member of the MassDevelopment Board of Directors from 2013 to 2016, and was also the Chair of The Nature Conservancy’s Trustee Council, having previously served as the Chair and Vice-Chair of The Nature Conservancy in Massachusetts. He also served as an officer of the Boston Harbor Island Alliance for over a decade.
