Mintz Earns Top Score in 2019 Corporate Equality Index

Receives 100 percent rating on Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s annual scorecard for LGBT workplace equality for 12th year in a row

Mintz received a perfect score of 100 percent on the 2019 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) workplace equality, administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation.

“It’s an honor to be acknowledged once again by the Human Rights Campaign for our longstanding support of the LGBT community,” said Tyrone P. Thomas, Chair of Mintz Diversity Committee and a Member of the firm’s Employment, Labor & Benefits Section. “Creating an inclusive work environment enables Mintz to recruit and retain talented people who can approach challenges and opportunities with different viewpoints so that we can best serve our clients.”

The 2019 CEI survey evaluated LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBT community. By satisfying all of the criteria Mintz has been designated as a CEI Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality.

Mintz is committed to supporting diversity and inclusion in the firm and the legal profession. The firm’s Diversity Committee meets regularly to evaluate policies and initiatives which aid in the recruitment, retention and mentoring of its diverse employees.
