Life Sciences Litigation Practice Chair and Patent Litigation Practice Co-chair Siegmund (“Sige”) Gutman was recognized as “General Patent Litigator of the Year – California.” Sige has more than 25 years of industry experience and an extensive history of successfully litigating cases involving biologic drug patents, other life sciences innovations, and the Hatch-Waxman Act. His practice also encompasses developing and executing market exclusivity and freedom to operate strategies for a wide range of leading life sciences companies and handling inter partes patent office actions. He provides strategic patent counseling, including addressing product life cycle management and patent portfolio development issues, and prepares third-party patent landscape analyses.
