San Diego Business Journal Names Three Mintz Members “Best of the Bar”
Mintz, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C. Members Jeremy Glaser, Marty Lorenzo and Eddie Wang Rodriguez have been named “Best of the Bar” by the San Diego Business Journal. Announced in the publication’s June 30th issue, this is the inaugural edition naming “Best of the Bar” honorees.
Described by the publication as “the most outstanding in San Diego,” attorneys were selected by legal professionals throughout the metro area who cast votes for those both within and outside of their firm. Over 1,000 votes were cast from 146 firms and solo practices. The final list of selected attorneys which totals 201, represent a range of practice areas.
Mr. Glaser serves as Co-chair of Mintz’s Venture Capital & Emerging Companies Practice. He regularly represents technology-based companies principally in the software, mobile applications, clean energy, medical device and life science fields. Mr. Glaser represents both issuers and underwriters in a wide variety of securities transactions, including IPOs, secondary offerings, and private placements, and represents venture capital firms, hedge funds and their portfolio companies in venture capital and PIPE financings. He also has deep expertise in representing buyers and sellers in acquisitions and dispositions of public and private companies.
With over 15 years of experience in business and corporate and securities law, Mr. Lorenzo advises clients on a wide variety of matters from general business issues to strategic transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, capital formation and international expansion. He regularly acts as outside general counsel to companies in all stages of development and across various industries, including medical device, clean energy, government contracting, software and new media. He represents companies and investors from Asia and Europe seeking to access customers and capital markets in the U.S., as well as U.S. companies expanding their reach overseas. As a Marine Corps officer for over 27 years, Mr. Lorenzo is proud to represent veteran-owned business and business that produce products and services that assist our military personnel and their families.
Mr. Wang Rodriguez is the Managing Member of Mintz’s San Diego office, and he also serves on the firm's Policy Committee. His practice is focused on a full range of corporate and securities matters, including corporate formation, mergers and acquisitions, venture financing, technology licensing, and general business counseling for both public and private companies.
Mr. Wang Rodriguez has extensive experience with counseling public and private companies in the life sciences, healthcare services, telecommunications, software, hardware, e-commerce, and information technology industries in a broad range of transactional matters.
