Mintz attorney Patricia Moran’s article was recently published on the Society for Human Resource Management’s website. In it, she elaborates on the matter of cybersecurity awareness, or lack thereof, when it comes to employer management of 401(k) plans.
Karen Lovitch, the leader of Mintz’s Health Law practice, was recently quoted in an article from the Laboratory Economics journal on its PAMA teleconference. During the February 1st teleconference, Karen spoke about the ongoing lawsuit filed against the HHS by the ACLA.
PBS News published an article on their website co-authored by Mintz’s Immigration practice Chair Susan Cohen. The article discusses the growing issue of family-based migration, which allows admitted immigrants to sponsor their relatives’ admittance to the country following their own.
Gil Samberg, a Member in Mintz’s New York office, published an article in Law360 on February 15th on the recent efforts made by Second Circuit courts to begin grappling with issues surrounding the viability of class arbitration in U.S. jurisprudence, something the Supreme Court has yet to do.

Meghan Burke, a Member and leader of Mintz’s Public Finance section, has been named Vice President of Women in Public Finance, a national organization focused on advancing women’s leadership opportunities in the public finance industry.
In light of the climbing rate of borrowers buckling under the weight of student loan debt, the Massachusetts Bar Association launched the Student Loan Bankruptcy Assistance Project to convince attorneys to represent borrowers in bankruptcy trying to have their debt wiped on a pro bono basis.
