Matt advises clients on a wide array of intellectual property litigation matters in federal courts, before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board, and before the International Trade Commission.

Matt originally joined Mintz as a Summer Associate, during which time he conducted legal research and produced internal memoranda on legal issues such as standing, patent infringement damages, contempt orders, and venue. During law school, Matt served as a judicial intern for Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton of the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts. He also completed a co-op with the Trial Division of the Massachusetts Attorney General’s office.

Before rejoining Mintz as an Associate, Matt clerked for Associate Justice Vickie L. Henry of the Massachusetts Appeals Court.

Matt earned his JD from Northeastern University School of Law, where he received a full-tuition merit scholarship and served as co-chair of the Intellectual Property Society and as a senior editor of the Northeastern University Law Review. Prior to law school, Matt received a BS, cum laude, in mechanical engineering from Boston University.
