The Big Ten Conference, the oldest Division I collegiate athletic conference, is a consortium of 14 universities in the United States that compete in more than a dozen sanctioned sports. Mintz provided employment advice and counseling to the Big Ten on key employment and executive compensation issues at the commissioner level.
In providing advice on employment and contract terms to the Big Ten, Mintz provided its recommendations to the then-Board of the Big Ten Conference.
The engagement was successful, and the Big Ten Conference used the work product and recommendations from Mintz in solidifying its chief executive relationships.
