For the second consecutive year, Mintz will host its “Lawyer for a Day” event in its Los Angeles office on March 5. During the event, approximately 30 middle school students from New Los Angeles Charter School, a Title One school, will gain a first-hand impression of what lawyers do, and be able to interact with attorneys and in-house counsel.

Mintz will offer the students the ability to participate in interactive learning activities to understand how the legal system works and the role that different types of lawyers play. Some of the firm’s lawyers will give brief presentations about their career trajectory, speak one-on-one with students and provide insight into life as in-house counsel.

A number of external in-house counsel will join as guests to participate in a Q&A, including: Eniola Akinrinade, Associate Counsel, Labor and Employment at Live Nation Entertainment, Rebecka Biejo, Chief Compliance Officer & Deputy GC at Pilgrim Media; Shawane Lee, Senior Counsel at Southern California Gas; and Brenda Galvan, Deputy District Attorney at Los Angeles District Attorney.
