Nikki Rivers will be speaking on “Arbitration: A True Alternative for Dispute Resolution? Practical Guidance for Real Estate Practitioners,” on Friday May 12th at 9:15 -10:15 am ET. The presentation will provide a primer on arbitration, including its favored status, the scope of the threshold inquiry in courts, and (most heavily) defenses to arbitration (and managing expectations with respect to litigating those defenses in court). The presentation will also include practical tips for transactional and in-house lawyers as they decide whether to include arbitration provisions in their agreements, with a focus on issues that real-estate practitioners may need to consider.
