Date: October 28, 2025

Time: 4:00PM - 7:00PM (EST)

Location: Mintz Toronto Office

One of the most complex and critical areas to navigate is the application of restrictive covenants - especially given the patchwork of laws that vary dramatically from province to province and state to state.

Join us for an engaging and practical session where we’ll explore this area of law from a Canadian and US perspective, including covering:

  • Increasing challenges to the enforcement of restrictive covenants
  • How to identify risks and implement protections on a case-by-case basis throughout the employment life cycle (from hiring to firing)
  • What your team should walk away with—and how to apply it in day-to-day operations
  • Practical considerations for different roles (executives vs. lower-level employees)

We’ll use real-world case studies to guide the conversation, highlight common pitfalls, and offer actionable insights—without getting lost in the legal weeds. Whether you're hiring in one jurisdiction or scaling a team across multiple, this session will help you make informed, strategic decisions and will be followed by a networking reception with drinks and hors d'oeuvres.
