Data Center Industry Touts Power Flexibility as Key Solution, but Some Developers Are Trying to Avoid It

During Bisnow's National DICE: Power event in Philadelphia, Steven Shparber participated in a discussion with other industry leaders about how data center developers are weighing power curtailment requirements and grid flexibility as electricity demand continues to rise. Bisnow featured insights from the panel in a recent article.

Steven says, “It depends on the type of data center that's being used, if it's going to be used to power emergency services or it's defense-oriented, there's going to be more sensitivity to that. But I have seen, at least with some clients we're working with, where the data center is willing to take a bit more curtailment risk.”
