Mintz Attorney Cynthia J. Larose to Speak on WBZ Radio Cyber Security Panel

Cynthia J. Larose, Chair of Mintz, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C.’s Privacy & Security Practice, will participate in a panel discussion presented by WBZ Radio entitled, “Cyber Security and Safety: Protecting Yourself and Your Business From Cyber Crime.” This WBZ Business Breakfast will take place on Thursday, June 12 in Boston, Massachusetts.

The program will address the digitally connected world that has vastly changed the way we live, work and do business. Panelists will explore the ways that individuals and businesses can protect themselves from identity theft and data breaches that put their finances at risk. Ms. Larose will be joined in the discussion by Barbara Anthony, Undersecretary of Massachusetts Office of Consumer Affairs and Business Regulation; Andy Obuchowski, Director of Security & Privacy Consulting at McGladrey; and Jack Wood, Chief Information Officer at Wayfair.

Ms. Larose, a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP), has extensive experience in privacy, data security, and information management matters, including state, federal, and international laws and regulations on the use and transfer of information, behavioral advertising, data security breach compliance and incident response, data breach incident response planning, as well as data transfers in the context of mergers and acquisitions and technology transactions. She conducts privacy audits and risk assessments to determine data and transaction flow and to assess privacy practices, and assists with drafting and implementation of privacy policies and information security policies and procedures and monitoring of privacy “best practices” across all levels of the enterprise.
