Deborah A. Daccord, a Member of Mintz, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C. and Co-Chair of the firm’s Health Care Transactions Group, will be honored with the Women’s Health Champion Award at the Women for Whittier 2014 Holiday Tea and Talk. The event is taking place on December 4 at the Whittier Street Health Center.

Whittier Street Health Center is an urban health and wellness center accredited by the Joint Commission and recognized by the NCQA as a Level 3 Patient Centered Medical Home.  Its mission is to provide reliable and accessible primary health care and social services for diverse populations, to promote wellness and to eliminate health and social disparities.

Women for Whittier (W4W), an organization Ms. Daccord co-founded in 2009, was created with the goal of reaching 1,000 women who are committed to eliminating health and social disparities among the low income women and children served by Whittier. W4W is committed to advancing innovative ways to address and resolve issues related to women and children's health.

“I’m honored to be receiving this award from the Whittier Street Health Center,” said Ms. Daccord.  “This organization, and in particular the Women for Whittier initiative, is making a real and lasting difference in the lives of so many women and children.”

The focus of this year’s holiday tea will be on Resiliency:  Healthy Living for Women and Girls.
