Nursing Home Lawsuit: Management Company Diverted $1.8 Million In COVID Relief Funds
Member Cory Flashner spoke to McKnights Long-Term Care News about a case of large scale COVID relief fraud at a nursing home in Iowa. Cory explained, "[The] DOJ can’t prosecute every case of COVID fraud — they don’t have the resources to prosecute all of it, but allegations involving $1.8 million in stimulus funds plus a vulnerable victim class — that is going to attract additional scrutiny."
