Mintz Levin continues to expand its New York presence with the addition of Sean Grygiel, who joins as a Member in the Intellectual Property practice. He is the fifth high-profile Member to join the office this year. Mr. Grygiel was previously a partner with Perkins Coie LLP.
Mr. Grygiel counsels clients on all aspects of intellectual property, from idea and conception through commercialization and exit. His clients range from startups and early stage venture-funded companies to large corporations in industries such as life sciences, medical devices, financial services and fintech, mechanical and electrical systems, wireless and telecommunications, software and Internet services.

In the last several months, Mintz Levin’s New York office has added Members Therese Doherty and Christopher Sullivan, highly-respected litigation attorneys, corporate finance and capital markets attorney Anthony Marsico and Anthony Mulrain, a leading sports and entertainment lawyer.
Mr. Grygiel provides patent-related counsel in both litigation and transactions. His experience includes traditional patent and trademark preparation and prosecution, licensing, freedom-to-operate studies, product clearance opinions, post-grant procedures and litigation, technology licenses, acquisition and joint venture agreements, and IP provisions of financing and employment agreements.
Following his time as a lieutenant and marine engineer in the United States Coast Guard, Mr. Grygiel co-founded and served as the Chief Operating Officer of Xcellasave, Inc., a wireless technology startup focused on mobile content delivery.
