Tim is an intellectual property attorney whose practice is focused on patent litigation for clients in the life sciences industry. He has experience preparing legal memoranda and conducting research on patent law issues, including claim construction, infringement, and validity.

Tim first joined Mintz as a Summer Associate concentrating in life science patent litigation, during which time he analyzed various patents asserted in a complex BPCIA litigation. He also provided legal counseling pro bono to underrepresented small business owners. 

Tim earned his JD from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, where he served as a life science articles editor for the Berkeley Technology Law Journal and a member of the Berkeley Business Law Journal. He also served as a judicial extern for the US District Court for the District of Arizona. He has a BS, magna cum laude, in physiology from the University of Arizona.

He is based in the Los Angeles office.
