The Situation

The client, an American professional basketball player, sued a television production company and other parties for, among other things, commercially exploiting his trademark and brand without his consent. 

The Approach

After successfully prosecuting an action against the production company, our client was sued by a third party for tortious interference in regard to this individual’s contract with the production company. Our client prevailed on summary judgment and the adversary’s appeal was denied.

The Outcome

The production company settled the matter with our client, and his trademark and brand were never exploited.
