Mintz Welcomes Chris Newman as Chief Marketing & Business Development Officer

Mintz announces that Chris Newman has joined the firm as Chief Marketing & Business Development Officer. With more than two decades of experience leading transformational growth and brand strategies for Am Law 50 firms, Chris brings deep expertise in business development, client engagement, market intelligence, and digital strategy.

As leader of Mintz’s Marketing and Business Development function, Chris will oversee the firm’s business development, marketing strategy, brand positioning, communications, and client engagement programs.

Prior to joining Mintz, Chris spent nearly nine years at McDermott Will & Emery, most recently serving as Senior Director of Business Development & Client Solutions. Earlier in his career he was Senior Vice President of Client Development at Cooley.

Chris is the current President of the Board of Advisors for the Legal Sales and Service Organization and has served in numerous leadership roles within the Legal Marketing Association, including two terms as Regional President and as a board member. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maryland, College Park.
