Mintz’s Will Hill Named Go To Construction Lawyer By Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly

BOSTON – Mintz is pleased to announce that William Hill, Member and Co-Chair of the firm's Construction Practice Group, was named a 2023 “Go To Construction Lawyer” by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. The award recognizes top construction lawyers across the Commonwealth who demonstrate significant leadership in the field with a record of success, and to whom other lawyers make referrals for their expertise and accomplishments. Mr. Hill and fellow honorees were featured in the Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly May 22 issue.

Mr. Hill’s practice encompasses construction and real estate disputes and transactions, as well as commercial and corporate litigation. He is a Fellow of the American College of Construction Lawyers, a highly selective association of construction law practitioners, professors, and judges. As past chair of the American Bar Association Forum on Construction Law, he has also helped shape issues facing the construction bar. A broad spectrum of clients, including individuals, nonprofit organizations, and publicly traded companies rely on his counsel.

Since 2019, Mr. Hill has been the founder and chair of the board for Building for Good, Inc., a national web-based platform linking non-profits and charities with skilled pro bono construction attorneys.

Mr. Hill's profile highlights his remarkable contributions to various significant projects. For instance, he played a pivotal role in representing DivcoWest, where he was instrumental in drafting construction documents for the extensive 42-acre Cambridge Crossing project in Cambridge. Additionally, his negotiation skills successfully led to the contract agreement for the 115,000-square-foot distribution facility of the Greater Boston Food Bank. Moreover, Mr. Hill provided invaluable legal counsel to General Electric, offering guidance throughout every phase of construction for their Boston headquarters.

Founded in 1972, the Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly newspaper reports decisions issued by all the state and federal courts in Massachusetts, as well as changes to court rules, verdict and settlement reports, bar-discipline notices, and all other news vital to attorneys in the commonwealth. The “Go To Lawyers” feature is an award program that showcases leaders in the Massachusetts legal community by practice area.
