Mintz is expanding the firm’s technology capabilities with the arrival of William S. Perkins and Dinesh K. Melwani. Both join as Members in the Corporate & Securities Section and will help lead the firm’s technology initiative from Boston.

Meghan Burke, a Member and leader of Mintz’s Public Finance section, has been named Vice President of Women in Public Finance, a national organization focused on advancing women’s leadership opportunities in the public finance industry.

Mintz is proud to announce that William Hill, a Member in the firm’s Boston office, has been named this year’s recipient of the Appalachian Mountain Club’s Distinguished Service Award. The AMC is a 90,000-member conservation and outdoor recreation organization.

Bay Point Advisors has expanded its footprint in the coal sector as the firm advanced a $6.6 million term loan to Coking Coal Financing, LLC.  The loan provides funds to acquire and stockpile coal for resale, and to launch its receivables factoring program. Mintz served as Bay Point’s legal team.

ML Strategies is pleased to announce Stephen J. Silveira, Senior Vice President, has been appointed to serve on the Commission on the Future of Transportation in the Commonwealth. Governor Charlie Baker made the announcement on January 23, 2018.
