Mintz Member and Chair of the firm’s Intellectual Property Division Michael Renaud was quoted in an article published by Law360 detailing high-profile patent cases to watch in 2022. Specifically, Mr. Renaud commented on American Axle v. Neapco, a “monster” Federal Circuit decision involving patent eligibility under Section 101 of the Patent Act, which the U.S. Supreme Court is considering taking up.

Mintz Member Jennifer Rubin authored an article published by Corporate Counsel exploring how a new generation of tech savvy, social justice-focused, and environmentally aware employee stakeholders are creating recruitment, retention, and other employment challenges. In the article, she wrote that corporate counsel can play a key role in managing and mitigating this human capital risk, not only in response to the growing environmental, social, and governance disclosure and regulation trends, but as part of the need to design future-proof legal frameworks for the workplace.

Mintz served as health regulatory legal advisor to Kindred Healthcare in the recently completed sale of Kindred Healthcare to LifePoint Health, a national network of hospitals, post-acute service providers, and outpatient centers. As a result of the successful transaction, ScionHealth, a new healthcare system focused on high-quality acute and post-acute hospital solutions, was launched on December 23rd.
