Courtney is an immigration attorney who focuses her practice on employment‑based and family‑based immigration matters. She works with corporate clients, HR teams, and foreign national employees across a range of industries — including biotech, pharmaceuticals, research institutions, higher education, and health care — to navigate complex US immigration processes.
Courtney advises on the full spectrum of nonimmigrant visa classifications, regularly preparing H‑1B, L‑1, O‑1, E‑3, and TN petitions and leading the development of legal strategy for responses to Requests for Evidence. She also supports clients on PERM labor certification, Adjustment of Status applications, and immigrant visa filings. Her experience spans both high‑volume corporate immigration programs and customized support for individual clients with specialized immigration needs.
Before joining Mintz, Courtney practiced at leading immigration law firms in Boston, where she managed case strategy across multiple business units for a Fortune 10 client, prepared complex petition filings, and counseled clients on evolving federal immigration policies. Earlier in her career, she handled visitor visas, J‑1 waivers, marriage‑based cases, naturalization applications, and appearances before local USCIS field offices.
Courtney has a strong commitment to pro bono service. Her work includes preparing humanitarian parole applications, supporting DACA and citizenship clinics, filing Adjustment of Status applications, and assisting with Special Immigrant Juvenile petitions. She also speaks on immigration topics, including presenting on visa options for STEM graduates.
Courtney earned her JD from New England Law | Boston and a BA in sociology from Drexel University.
