Macey maintains a general litigation practice, with a particular interest in white collar defense and commercial litigation. She has experience handling a range of matters involving constitutional claims, criminal law issues, and appellate litigation. Macey has conducted legal research and drafted memoranda on complex issues and has supported case strategy through discovery analysis and briefing.
Prior to joining Mintz, Macey gained hands-on experience through a number of competitive internships and clinical programs. As a participant in a federal appellate litigation clinic, she provided pro bono representation in matters before the US Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the Board of Immigration Appeals. She also interned with the US Department of Justice’s Criminal Division, Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section, where she prepared internal memoranda and assisted in developing prosecution and sentencing strategies. Macey also served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Eli J. Richardson of the US District Court for the Middle District of Tennessee and completed an externship with the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office.
Macey earned her JD, summa cum laude, from the Temple University, James E. Beasley School of Law and a BS, cum laude, in business administration from the University of South Carolina, Darla Moore School of Business.
