Professional Development

At Mintz Levin, we believe that learning should not end when you graduate from law school. Our Mintz Levin Professional Development Department (MLPD) invests a great deal of time and resources into providing comprehensive and relevant training for all attorneys in the firm. In fact, all legal professionals are expected to meet or exceed an annual training target. With over 100 MLPD sessions offered each year, reaching your annual training target is easy.

For our junior Associates, we offer multiple programs to enhance your skills, including:

  • First-Year Base Camps
  • First-Year Writing Programs
  • Business of Law Series
  • Many other programs

Both Litigation Base Camp and Transactional Base Camp are held in our Boston office for all first-year Associates. The curricula include substantive legal topics, expectations discussions with practice management, and interactive activities. The MLPD writing programs for first years are taught by external consultants and Mintz Levin attorneys, many of whom teach writing at law schools. All first-year Associates are assigned a writing mentor for one year.

MLPD is an Accredited Provider of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) in New York and California. Qualifying MLPD programs are designed to deliver CLE credit to participants with state bar requirements.
