68th US Secretary of State John F. Kerry to Keynote at Mintz’s 2024 Energy Transition Summit
John F. Kerry, 68th US Secretary of State, will deliver the opening keynote address at Mintz’s 2024 Energy Transition Summit in Boston on September 30. The third annual event will bring together over 150 leaders from across the energy and sustainability ecosystem for a day of discussion and networking.
Guided by a theme of “Catalyzing the Energy Transition Through Investment, Innovation, and Adoption,” discussions will focus on how financing – from both private and public sources – is shaping the next evolution of the energy transition.
“Secretary Kerry’s global influence combatting climate change and promoting business solutions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions cannot be overstated,” says Member Tom Burton, Chair of Mintz’s Energy & Sustainability Practice. “We are honored to have him deliver the keynote address at this year’s Energy Transition Summit and look forward to connecting with industry leaders to accelerate progress toward a clean energy economy.”
Apart from his role as Secretary of State, Kerry represented Massachusetts in the US Senate from 1985 to 2013 and was appointed by President Biden in 2021 to serve as the first US Special Presidential Envoy for Climate. He was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in May 2024.
The invite-only event will take place in Mintz’s Boston office, featuring over twenty speakers from both the federal government and the private sector.
Session topics include Private Equity Investment Trends, The Impact of Interconnection Regulations, The Future of Government Clean Energy Policy and Financing, Navigating Equity Capital Markets, and How Clean Energy is Powering Data Centers.
