Mintz Continues Expansion of Corporate and Securities Practice with Addition of Marc Mantell to Boston Office

Continuing the expansion of its corporate and securities practice, Mintz, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C. announced that Marc Mantell has joined the firm as a Member in its Corporate Section based in Boston.

Previously a Partner at Edwards Wildman, Mr. Mantell represents public and privately held companies in connection with mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings and debt financings. He also regularly advises clients on SEC reporting compliance, stock exchange compliance and corporate governance, including executive compensation, Section 16 and other matters affecting officers and directors of public companies. At Mintz, Mr. Mantell will focus his practice on public offerings, including alternative ‘going public’ transactions, and mergers and acquisitions.

“Corporate transaction volume continues to grow, with continued active public offering and M&A opportunities,” said Peter Demuth, Chair of the firm’s Corporate & Securities Practice. “Marc brings a wealth of experience handling complex offering, merger and financing transactions and is an outstanding addition to our practice.”

Mr. Mantell has represented acquirers and sellers in the life sciences, technology, telecom and consumer products industries, with a particular focus on complex acquisition structures and transaction terms. He also regularly advises international clients on doing business in the United States and compliance with U.S. securities laws and other legal requirements.

Mr. Mantell holds a J.D. from University of Virginia Law School and earned a B.A. cum laude from Williams College. He serves on the board of directors of America SCORES New England, a Boston non-profit that provides youth soccer and literacy programs.
