Yeilee litigates employment disputes before federal and state courts, administrative agencies, and in arbitration, and counsels clients on a broad range of employment issues. She has experience handling matters involving claims of discrimination, harassment, hostile work environment, retaliation, and wrongful termination. Yeilee also advises on noncompetition and non-solicitation covenants and tort claims arising out of the employment relationship. She represents clients in a variety of industries, including health care, private equity, and real estate.

Prior to joining Mintz, Yeilee was an associate at a national New York-based litigation firm. In that role, she handled a wide array of employment and commercial disputes. Earlier, she served as a volunteer law clerk for the Honorable Chief Judge Roslynn R. Mauskopf of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.

While earning her JD, Yeilee was the Notes & Articles Editor for the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media & Entertainment Law Journal and an Associate Editor for the Moot Court Board. She was also a semifinalist in both the I. Maurice Wormser Moot Court Competition and the Northeast Regional NAPABA Thomas Tang Moot Court Competition.

In an era where President Trump has revoked existing federal AI policies and directives and federal agencies have followed suit, several state legislatures and courts are weighing in to account for potential AI-enabled bias in employment decisions, ranging from hiring and recruiting to separation and termination, including regulating the use of automated decision systems (ADS) in the workplace. This post provides a brief overview of some recent AI employment-related proposed legislation and legal challenges.
