Setting the Pace: Mintz’s 2023 Women’s Report — Event Highlights

In partnership with the Women’s Initiative and other collaborators, Mintz hosts a wide range of events designed to create networking, professional development, and personal growth opportunities for women within the firm and in broader professional communities.

Attended by hundreds of participants each year, these events are led by expert speakers and focus on topics that matter most to women, including board diversity, professional success, allyship, mental health, and more.

 


 

5th Annual Bay Area Diversity Event

At the annual Bay Area women's diversity event, attendees heard from a panel of accomplished female leaders about the importance of allyship, how it has helped their careers, and the different ways women can champion each other in business and beyond. They also talked about the need for self-reflection on personal biases that affect work relationships and the value of providing training and support to diverse hires moving into new roles.

Navigating Return to Office — What the Heck?!

Mintz’s Los Angeles women's diversity event combined networking with an engaging panel discussion on navigating return to office, the challenges unique to the panelists’ industries, and the strategies working well for each of their organizations.

The group explored return to office policies, how to address employees’ mental health, and how to create connections amongst employees, whether they are working in-office or from home.

The San Diego Conversation on Board Diversity

In partnership with 50/50 Women on Boards and other sponsors, Mintz hosted this strategic networking event designed to help build diverse corporate boards with talented women leaders. Expert coaches from a wide range of industries led the interactive networking session, helping attendees build board connections in their industry or meet qualified board candidates.

How to Self-Promote Effectively and Authentically

In November, the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Northeast Women's Committee hosted its monthly Coffee Chat at the Mintz Boston office. In addition to networking opportunities, the event included an interactive breakout session, How to Self-Promote Effectively & Authentically, led by Mintz Member and Chair of the firm’s Women’s Initiative, Geri Haight.

 

 


 

Taste of North Country

Mintz hosted the Lawyers Club of San Diego’s annual Taste of North County event to support the organization’s mission of advancing the status of women in the law and society. The Lawyers Club is the largest specialty bar association in San Diego, and this event welcomed members for an evening of networking and collaboration.
