He focuses his practice on patent litigation and prosecution, with experience representing clients in US District Courts and before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. Raymond represents clients in a variety of technical fields with a particular emphasis on health care, life sciences, and technology.

Prior to joining Mintz, Raymond was an associate at an IP-focused law firm, where he represented clients in high-stakes intellectual property disputes and advised on patent prosecution strategies. His work included drafting pleadings, motions and trial briefs, managing discoveries, taking depositions, and appearing at oral arguments and trial. He also handled patent applications across diverse technical fields and counseled clients on US patent law and procedure.

While earning his JD, Raymond served as Notes and Comments Editor for the Houston Business and Tax Law Journal and received multiple honors, including awards for legal writing and civil procedure. He also worked as a judicial intern for the Honorable Hilda Tagle of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas.

Before law school, Raymond worked as a software developer for a leading health care technology company, where he designed and implemented software solutions to improve clinical and pharmacy workflows. In that role, he developed prescription monitoring interfaces, medication adherence algorithms, and diagnosis tracking tools, and contributed across the full development lifecycle using a range of programming languages and platforms.
