Mintz is pleased to announce that its Washington, DC, Office Managing Member Michelle Lipkowitz has been recognized as a finalist in the Managing Partner of the Year category in Law.com’s 2025 Women, Influence, & Power in Law (WIPL) Awards. She was recognized among the other finalists at an awards gala on October 6.

Mintz represented Sterling Brokers, a leading Canadian benefits brokerage and third-party administrator, in connection with its sale to HGGC, a middle-market private equity sponsor based in Palo Alto. The sale represents an exit event for True Wind Capital, the San Francisco-based private equity firm that invested in Sterling three years ago.

Jacob Hupart shared insights with Responsible Investor about the final ruling in a suit against American Airlines over its investment of 401(k) money with asset managers pursuing ESG goals. The judge ruled that the airline had broken its “duty of loyalty” but rejected claims for damages.
