Narges Kakalia, Mintz’s Chief Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer, has been named Womankind’s 2026 Phoenix of the Year Honoree, recognizing her longstanding leadership, advocacy, and commitment to advancing justice and support for survivors of gender-based violence.

Miyoko Sato has received the 2026 Smith’s Phoenix Award, becoming the first attorney to receive the honor. The award recognizes individuals whose leadership, professional achievements, and contributions have made a lasting impact on the high yield municipal bond sector. Miyoko was honored at Smith’s High Yield Municipal Bond Conference on October 20.
