Terri Shieh-Newton Named “Top 250 Women in IP” by Managing Intellectual Property

SAN FRANCISCO – Mintz Intellectual Property Member Terri Shieh-Newton, PhD was named as one of the 2022 “Top 250 Women in IP” by Managing Intellectual Property. This special publication, which launched in 2013, recognizes some of the senior women IP practitioners in private practice who have performed exceptionally for their clients and firms in the past year. The nominees were selected from the Managing Intellectual Property’s general IP Stars list for 2022.

Dr. Shieh-Newton is a nationally recognized IP attorney and a leading woman in the life sciences industry. With 22+ years of experience, she plays a strategic role for her clients as she guides their patent strategy, portfolio management, and investments. Dr. Shieh-Newton works with companies of all sizes in a wide range of life sciences and clean technology industries. She also manages and conducts due diligence for companies and investors. Regarding Dr. Shieh-Newton, IAM Patent 1000 pointed to the centrality of her work on a portfolio for an anti-TIGIT antibody for Arcus Biosciences in a $2 billion investment by Gilead Sciences.

She was also a finalist in Managing Intellectual Property’s 2022 National Practitioner of the Year – Patent Prosecution.
