TPG Invests in Behavioral Health Firm LifeStance

The Deal reported that Mintz, led by Member and Health Law Division Head Susan Berson and Member and Chair of the Health Law Practice Karen Lovitch, served as legal counsel to TPG Capital in its new partnership with existing investors, Summit Partners and Silversmith Capital Partners, to back outpatient behavioral health services provider LifeStance Health.
Mintz Member and Co-Chair of the firm’s Life Sciences Practice William T. Whelan was among the industry leaders featured in an article published by The American Lawyer on the ongoing success of several big law life science practices in 2020, including Mintz, despite economic difficulties created by COVID-19.
An article published by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly featured Mintz Member and Chair of the firm’s Government Law Practice Elissa Flynn-Poppey for her pro bono work to advise Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker and First Lady Lauren Baker, One8 Foundation, Eastern Bank, and other organizations on the launch of the Massachusetts COVID-19 Relief Fund, which will help support those across the state most impacted by the COVID-19 public health crisis.
