Emma advises clients on complex tax implications associated with a broad range of transactions. Her experience spans the areas of tax law, corporate finance, and securities and corporate law. Emma works with clients across a variety of industries, including life sciences.
While earning her JD, Emma served as a student advisor at The Hatchery, the University of Toronto Engineering’s start-up incubator, where she advised new companies on legal and business issues. While working as a research assistant on a Genome Canada project and through her involvement with the Structural Genomics Consortium, Emma conducted research on IP policy and pharmaceutical regulation.
Before law school, Emma worked in marketing at a global biopharmaceutical company.
