Mintz IP Chair Michael Renaud Named to Bloomberg Law’s Inaugural List of “Unrivaled Litigators”
Michael T. Renaud, Chair of Mintz’s Intellectual Property Division, has been named to Bloomberg Law’s 2025 Unrivaled Litigators list. The inaugural award celebrates litigators at law firms and elsewhere who lead the legal industry in high-stakes trials and settlements on impactful matters for clients.
“At Bloomberg Law, we’ve made tremendous strides in our macro approach to litigation coverage over the past few years. We thought it was a great time to zoom in a bit and focus in on some of the key litigators winning ‘bet the farm’ trials and settlements,” said Lisa Helem, executive editor, Bloomberg Industry Group. “The stakes were high — we required two significant trial or settlement wins within a roughly two-year period. And nominees had to have a history of litigation excellence and success. Our debut litigator honorees — respected in their craft and leading firms and practices — embody that and so much more.”
The publication highlighted Michael’s leadership in securing a key victory in Advanced Micro Devices, et al. v. TCL Communications, et. al, at the International Trade Commission in January 2024.
Reflecting on his strategy in the case, Mike noted, “Mintz’s team has handled more semiconductor cases than virtually any other US firm. We understand best practices for picking patents and executing on proving up infringement cases, especially in the graphics processing space in which all smart TVs now operate.”
Michael Renaud is known as one of the world’s leading intellectual property strategists. As Chair of Mintz’s IP Division and a member of the firm’s policy committee, Michael leads an international team of IP prosecutors, litigators, transaction and technology specialists.
