Three Mintz members practicing in three different geographic areas have been recognized by Lawdragon in its 2024 “500 Leading Global Real Estate Lawyers” list. 

Venture Capital & Emerging Companies Co-Chair Jeremy Glaser spoke with the San Diego Business Journal about trends in the VC market in the San Diego tech space this year. Jeremy notes that although only a few IPOs seen in the first quarter performed well in the aftermarket, there are some bright spots to watch.

Mintz announced that it has been shortlisted in the 2024 New England Legal Awards in the “Litigation Departments of the Year: Intellectual Property” category. The awards recognize attorneys and firms in Connecticut, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. The winner will be announced on September 26. 

Members Scott Lashway, Laurence Freedman, and Special Counsel Matthew Stein published an article in Bloomberg Law about how recent False Claims Act (FCA) settlements show a focus on cybersecurity enforcement. In the article, they outline how organizations with government contracts can mitigate the risk of cybersecurity-related FCA investigations and litigation. 

Member Frank Gerratana was quoted by Business Insider in an article about the legal landscape surrounding AI. He discusses the legal concerns that AI presents related to intellectual property rights, privacy and data protection, liability, and human rights issues.
